ALWAYS INTO SOMETHING......

I think out of all the mediums I work with, my portraits on wood- as enjoyable as they are to produce, pose the most challenge. With computer design and illustration programs like Photoshop or Maya, you can make and correct any mistakes almost infinitely. I enjoy the challenge of composing a portrait on wood as it affords me the opportunity to keep my mistakes to a minimum. The piece below is around 75% complete. I also get to use different elements together, acrylic paints, india ink, jewelry, etc. The end result and combination of the materials with the wood-as- skin effect makes for an extremely memorable piece.

FAVORITE CITIES: BALTIMORE, MD

NIcknamed "Charm City" as well as where the "Star Spangled Banner" was written, the City of Baltimore, Maryland had a way of making me smile during my visit there in 2011. I walked along the Inner Harbor, the city's most popular destination- which is home to The National Aquarium and other great spots to visit. It's really beautiful-especially at dusk and at night. Here's a link to some of the great things you'll see should you decide to to visit for yourself:Visiting Maryland

HOW ABOUT THOSE RAVENS?!!!!

Yes- I am a die- hard BALTIMORE RAVENS FAN!!! Im ecstatic about the Superbowl Run the Ravens have put together this season, I was in attendance of the Game when they faced the San Diego Chargers  and completed the now infamous "4th & 29" play which led to an overtime victory for the RAVENS! Surely that play will be talked about along with the underdog labels given to the Ravens before facing and defeating both the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots in the Divisional and AFC Championship matches this season. GO RAVENS!!!  Im hoping Ray Lewis gets his 2nd Superbowl Ring as he retires this year. I as other RAVENS fans hate to see him go- but I hope its in grand fashion with a trophy and ring! VISIT RAVEN NATION

IM TRYING TO EAT HEALTHIER....REALLY.

Why is it so hard for us to eat healthy? It comes down to discipline and self control....I have to admit....my eating habits are not consistently healthy, but just like with "junk" foods, I do crave salads and great healthy sandwiches just as often. I've collected quite a few photos of the dishes I've prepared, so it's looking like a cook book is in order......stay tuned. In the meantime......feel free to head over to MY FOOD BLOG for more heartier dishes.that I've created.
